Warner Music Japane recently re-released six Talking Heads CDs in the new hi-fidelity SHM-CD format. All six albums are reissued in cardboard sleeves, which are miniature replica's of the original vinyl artwork. The series includes the abums Talking Heads: 77, More Songs About Buildings And Food, Fear Of Music, Remain In Light, the double album The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads and Speaking In Tongues.
For "Speaking in Tongues", the sleeve is a faithful replica of the limited edition sleeve designed by Robert Rauschenberg that won the 1984 Grammy Award for best recording package. Housed in a plastic cover with spinnable transparant disk, a replica of the original shrinkwrap sticker, obi strip, lyrics booklet and two bonus tracks ("Two note Swivel" and "Burning Down the House (Alternative Version)", this re-issue is a true collectors item.
SHM-CDs are compatible with standard CD players.
